The Captain's Walk winery is in this old house with a Captain's Walk at the top. When I designed these wine labels, I had not realized

that the Captain's walk was that little balcony. As you can see, the walkway is accentuated with the Captain walking down it.

They still loved the wine label design and I learned a big lesson to fully research my projects. The same owners put out this cherry wine.

called Cherry Bounce. They had a photo of Dr. Stiehl making his wine concoction which contains hard liquor to help his patients feel better.

This was the thinking behind this old medicine bottle look to this label. It would look much cooler in a different bottle, but they

had to use a bottle that had a large enough neck to fit the real cherries inside. You can see them in the bottom of the bottle. The copy was very

cleverly written by my client but the TTB did not approve of much so unfortunately, it had to become not as "medicinal" as it humorously incinuated.

Working with Ginny Westcott has been a delight. She has worked successfully within our budget for projects ranging from $500 to $5,000,

and does a great job of creating "jump off the shelf" labels! There will be many more von Stiehl projects that contain her unique designs.
